The Gitanyow Huwilp Society is registered in the Province of British Columbia acting on behalf of the Gitanyow First Nation in Treaty Negotiations.

The Purposes of the Society are:

• To Coordinate and administer Treaty Negotiations on behalf of the Gitanyow
• Promote the involvement of the Gitanyow House Groups in the conservation, management, and sustainable development of the Natural Resources in the Gitanyow Territories.
• Develop programs and services for land and resources, human services, health, education, justice, and economic development
• Promote and Preserve the Gitanyow Culture and Traditions, and to Protect the Gitanyow Territories
• Build the Infrastructure and Capacity of the Gitanyow.
