The excitement climaxed with the appearance of pumpkins around town. Not really very frightening when there's still a little daylight around.

But then the sun went away and visions of goblins and witches lit porches and lawns
|
|
|
|
Witches . . . Brewing toads and lizards and other neat things in their kettles and cauldrons. In this case, though, it's not really a witch. It's Lion Frank Pelle stirring a new batch of hotdogs to medium-well. On his right is one of two batches of hot chocolate.

MmmmmmmHm! Ketchup please.

There were all kinds of people. Big and Small. Some were dressed up as "Cool Dude!"
|
|
|
|
Twenty-five gallons of hot chocolate disappeared.
|
|
|
|
Go ahead, have a bite. They're free! And if you like it, you can have the whole thing.
|
|
|
|
In not much more than an hour, six hundred hotdogs were gobbled up. This little angel helped out.
|
|
|
|
Throw another log on the fire . . . Terrace Scouts worked hard at building a monster bonfire.
|
|
|
|
But they said the wood was wet and green. Well . . . Maybe.
|
|
|
|
The fire guys didn't miss out on their dog and hot chocolate before putting on the show of the night.
|
|
|
|
Apparently they approved of the cuisine.
|
|
|
|

Those things that look like little planets in the sky, are in reality tiny drops of misting rain.
