EDUCATION

Stewart and Hyder are serviced by School District No. 82 Coast Mountains. There is one Secondary, Stewart Secondary School, and one elementary school, Stewart Elementary School which are both located in Stewart. Students from the outlying areas of Meziaden and Elsworth Camp are bussed to Stewart for classes.

Northwest Community College has an office located in the Secondary School, and offers courses in a variety of different areas including Adult Basic Education.
