Only 2 km from beautiful Alaska, Lion's Campground is located in the quaint outskirts of town, near the shallow salmon spawning area of Rainey Creek, and right at the bottom of Dolly Mountain. Nearby, you'll find a playground for the young ones and two tennis courts across the street, and it's only a five minute walk from downtown. You can also find a long hiking trail that's only a hop, skip, and a jump from the tennis courts. The town of Stewart is fed by glacier mountain water that you can fill up your R.V.'s with when you come, and when you leave. Sometimes in the Spring and Summer, you could get lucky and see a bear roaming through the area and up into the mountains. Wildlife surrounds this area because of the thick vegetation and salmon spawning creek that flows through the campground.
