LOCAL CANDIDATES IN HOT SEAT TUESDAY NOV 5, 2002.

An all candidates forum will take place in Terrace Tuesday evening Nov. 5 at the R.E.M. Lee Theatre.

It’s your chance to see local election candidates for city council and school board in action and get your questions answered.

The 10 candidates for Terrace city council and the seven for Terrace and Thornhill school trustee seats are to answer questions from the media and the public at the R.E.M. Lee Theatre starting at 7 p.m. The forum is being organized by The Terrace Standard. Rev. Dean Houghton of St. Matthew’s Anglican Church will be the moderator. Terrace Toastmasters and Skeena Valley Rotarians are assisting. Terrace city council candidates will be on stage first. Following an intermission, it will be the turn of Coast Mountains school board candidates from Terrace and from Thornhill. Questioners will be able to ask candidates questions at open mikes. The media will also put some written questions from the audience to the candidates, as time permits. Paper and pencils will be provided. Written questions can be handed in to the stage.
