Fun Day in the Park... Maybe Saturday.As can be seen in the photo at the left, the weather last weekend wasn't exactly great. Traditionally, the May long weekend is the official kickoff for a new season of camping. It's also the weekend for the popular Terrace Elks Kid's Fun Day in the Park. With cold, wet weather, though, both were pretty much a bust. The Elks will give the Kid's Fun Day another shot on Saturday. Relay For A Friend, a very special event held in Terrace on Sunday, May 13, was an unqualified success. The event attracted 36 teams, about 430 participants, who raised just over $46,000 in pledges.
