The Big Bike – 6/30/2001 11:11:21 PM

The BC Heart and Stroke Foundation of B.C. and Yukon brings the Big Bike to Terrace every summer. This year it was here on Saturday, June 23/01. Local teams raised nearly $30,000 this year. In the photos above, Betty Campbell's team—Ride For Heart—raised $5,445 to make that $30,000 happen. "We had nice strong legs to the help older people," Campbell said after the ride. Full Story. Skeena Aboriginal Days in Terrace on June 22-23 was a great success, attracting somewhere between 1,200 and 1,400 visitors. If asked to describe the main attraction of the two day event, though, it would be an impossible task. Arts, crafts, music, awards, aboriginal dance, displays, food . . .
