The Skeena River continues to rise slowly, and provincial officials are hoping the sudden increase in water levels over the past few days has peaked.

According to Terrace Fire and Rescue chief Randy Smith, they are keeping an eye on the situation. The water level at the Skeena River pump house this morning was about 55 metres above sea level, 0.8 metres less than the level that caused flooding in that area in 1999.…Full Story. More Stories…
