Vandals cause thousands of dollars in damage – 4/30/2002 12:23:31 PM

Unknown persons spray painted a variety of property in the Terrace area sometime in the early morning hours of Sunday, April 28. Both red and blue spray paint were used.

According to police, the damage was concentrated in the 4400 block of Lakelse Avenue, the Old Skeena Bridge, and the new Skeena bridges. The vandalism caused thousands of dollars in damage to city property, Ministry of Highways property, local businesses and construction equipment.

If you have any information that may help identify those responsible, please contact the Terrace RCMP at 638-7400 or Terrace Crime Stoppers at 635-TIPS (635-8477).

Recovered stolen property . . . Is any of it yours? – 4/25/2002 10:38:31 AM

Terrace RCMP recovered about $20,000 in stolen property over the weekend during a drug raid on a Dobbie Street home in the Copper Mountain Subdivision in Thornhill. According to Cst. Bruce Lofroth, the raid took place on Sunday under the authority of a search warrant for drugs. On entering the home, though, police found the residence bursting with stolen items. …Full Story.
