Seaport's Salmon Glacier Bus Tour takes you into the high country to see the vast expanses of the glacial icefields.

Bring your camera - the scenery is breathtaking! Your trip takes you up the steep and winding Salmon River Valley, passing many active and abandoned mining claims. The tour includes stories about the valley's colorful characters and interesting events. You may also get a firsthand look at modern mines at work and see mining properties you may have heard or read about.

You can spend time at the glacier viewpoints taking photos and exploring the alpine meadows where tiny wild flowers bloom at the edge of snow patches and watch for wildlife. You may see bears or eagles at Fish Creek, feasting on spawning salmon.
This tour will give you a new appreciation of the words "North, Mountians, and Glaciers". It is an excellent combination of natural history, scenery, wildlife, industry, economics and human history. And a perfect way to get to know the true north.
