Community Enterprise Investment Fund

The Community Enterprise Investment Fund is available to individual businesses, partnerships, societies, corporations or co-operatives for the purpose of sustainable job creation and economic diversification within the community.

The CEI Fund provides CFDC's with the ability to lend up to a maximum of $500,000 to small businesses to assist in the development and diversification of the B.C. economy.

Eligible investments are restricted to small businesses located in the 16/37 service area. Priority will be given to projects that have potential for sustainable job creation and economic diversification of the local community, and provide strong social and environmental benefits.

The CEI Fund is made possible through investments in B.C's communities by the Insurance Corporation of B.C. and the Community Futures Development Corporations of B.C. with assistance from Western Economic Diversification.

For further information on the guidelines and the application process, contact the 16/37 Community Futures office.
