Forest Community Business Program
Funding cannot be used to buy land, off-site vehicles, purchase shares,
pay shareholder dividends, bonuses or repay shareholder loans. The funds cannot be used to
refinance existing debt. Loans are available to a maximum of $125,000 and are fully
repayable to 16/37. Term of the loan is up to a maximum of five years. |

This loan fund is specifically for entrepreneurs in
the forest sector, including all contractors and silviculturists. Funding is available to
small and middle-sized businesses who want to establish, stabilize, diversify or expand
within the forestry sector. Funding can be used to purchase fixed assets, directly
relating to the business, such as equipment, tools, machinery and buildings, and as
working capital.
